Opps ! Just did a deal on a very nice Marshall. I did take advice from a few folk and had my local friendly boiler inspector give the whole engine a thorough audit. It was about the third engine I had been to see over the summer and I thought I would hard pressed to find a better engine for my budget.

So I guess I am now about to enter the foot hills of one them learning curves.

Don't worry , the nice people are the ones who are not too clever to answer a silly question . Try and get a copy of A Modern Manual for the Drivers of Steam Road Vehicles , by W.Michael Salmon , still the best book on the subject .

Excellent you've found one already, how about bringing it to the October rally at Klondyke?

Rollers arr where the fun is at.
