By the way , the makers were WALLIS & STEEVENS ( the Wallaces are Scots )

Thanks guys,
Not had a go on a 6 ton so not to sure on how much they differ, heard some people say 8 tons are bad t okeep ontop of but others say there not. Think it varies on each.

Did mean to put Wallis buyt spelt it wrong and cant work out how to change it now!

Nigel Hollis's 8 ton Advance steam's well and will average 8 mph on the road. we had some cracking days out with it last year.

Guy rutters 1920 6 ton wallis advance 15 thousand spent on the motion work at george hudsons has got new barrel new box new tubeplate new tubes looking fors a price some where in the region of 40,000 - 42,000
