Default Abbey Hill 2013

Just a week and a bit to go until Abbey Hill kicks off the West Country season.

There are 22 full size engines booked in, and 25 miniatures. We have a great site that is well drained, so if wet it shouldn't affect proceedings too much (but hoping for dry!!)

We have a full program of events covering the whole of the bank holiday weekend so why not come and join us?

Details and directions can be found on our web site www.abbeyhillrally.co.uk

Charlie.

"Unofficial" road run saturday evening, destination Foresters Arms at East Coker. They have generously offered to put on a Steamer Special in the kitchen.

The guys and myself have been very busy for the last few weeks getting ready for abbey hill.
We have made a new oak front carriage for the Stenner rack bench. Completely remade the under carriage for the living wagon including rubber clad wheels and new turn table. The smaller planking Stenner bench has had a good going over and has a new 36" inserted tooth blade! Still a full days work tomorrow cleaning the engines etc, then Wednesday the guys are taking there G licence test on the roller and then heading off for the 43 miles road run with the roller. I will then be roading over on Friday on the Allchin. See you there Mike.
