May day at papplewick pumping station

Papplewick,s second steam weekend takes place on Sunday and Monday this bank holiday weekend.The 1884 James watt beam engines will be in steam with the miniture railway.A new attraction this year is the forge which also should be working.A few stationary engines and a couple of miniture steam engines normally attend along with morris men.Bus tours to the underground reservoir are subject conformation of completion of work at the site.Opening times are 11am-5pm both days.For further info see www. papplewickpumpingstation.co.uk.
