Default A jaunt with Felsted Belle

'Felsted Belle' - a 1916 7nhp Garrett General Purpose engine - has recently changed hands and may be seen out and about a bit more in future years.

Here she is enjoying the October sunshine on a jaunt round the south Norfolk lanes.

We had a short stop for refreshment all round.

Under way again.

Like the shadow, just wish I could claim it was planned!

Journey's end at the Bressingham Steam Museum.

As ever, thanks for the entertainment.
Bill.

Thanks for superb pictures
Good to see the "Belle" out and about again and looking in fine form
I was one of her regular crew for several years when owned by the late David Nourse
She was the first engine I did any road work on ,subsequently travelling many hundreds of happy miles on her
Good memories of earlier times
Is she to retain the name Felstead Belle?
Heard that it was to become Fort Robert ? Or something like that
Nice to see the old girl out and active again
Well done to all concerned
Cheers Martin

Martin,
Yes, she is 'Felsted Belle' again. The name plate will be reinstalled soon.
We can confidently look forward to seeing her out in public more in future. I think the smiles on the crew's faces in my second picture say it all.
Bill.
