Yes, a huge thank you to Noel and Chris and well done. It was a really fabulous week and quite amazing that eighteen engines could drive about 150 miles without a single incident or problem on the road. Apart from the brain dead traffic corps, in Cork, flexing their muscles and boosting their ego's, everything couldn't have gone better and according to plan.
Also thanks to all you guys who traveled over from the mainland, to join in and add to the fun and make the event special .......Too many to mention but particularly one elderly gentleman from Cornwall, with the little Mac, who tried his best to corrupt us poor innocent, young Irish lads and coerce a couple of female teachers into his living van.........Thanks to all.
Life appears a bit boring and quiet this week, I wonder why?????????????

Here are a few pics taken by cameraphone on the run.

I didn't take many from the start, but hopefully they will give you a flavour of what a good do it was.

Sadly I have to say we had noisy neighbours at times.....

And an engine we were allowed to view on the run at a very well received and kindly provided stop.

And the boys having breakfast - this was really taken at 8.15am!!!

Views of Cashel castle taken from the living van on the move.

Mr Wakeham holding court at Michelstown

More to follow shortly.

If anyone on the run wants copies, PM me your email address and I'll email them to you.

Cheers

Tony

More now:

Chaos caused by our over zealous friends at Cork - ironically I went through with the low loader at the time we wanted to take the engines through and there was no traffic!!

A very shiny Aveling at Innishannon Rally kindly loaned by Basil - just to prove we did polish it up!!

Celtic Steamer demonstrating what a scale driver should look like on a model Foden he has built.
It looked very very nice indeed!

Ellie getting into the spirit of things!!

And finally.....

One of many beautiful spots we stopped at along the way, and some of the nice things we sampled!!

I have received some donations from this side of the water and will be sending them on shortly.

Thanks to those who have donated.

Tony
