Default Pickering governor spring

Hi All,

I am in need for a new spring for my governors, some over zealous winding has caused the end to break off! Does anyone have one for sale? If not does anyone have a drawing i could use to send to a spring company?

Thank you, Michael.

A spring company should be able to work from the broken spring . A firm long used by engine owners for all sorts of springs is Tested Spring Co. in Hainge Road in Tividale in the Black Country . Don't be put off by their very slick looking website , you have to shoo the cat off the seat before you sit down . Try to gather a few orders from other engine owners and on TT so as to reduce the unit price ( for road springs use Jones Springs at ?Wednesbury )

The spring is only for a fine adjustment of speed , + or - 5% . Otherwise you need to adjust the governor pully size to achieve the rated speed of the governor , usually stamped around the top ring , at the desired crank speed .
