I have one I rescued, quite a contraption with an AC motor driving a DC dynamo driving a DC motor so you can reverse and vary the speed. Beautifully made thing quite a machine in its day. I would part with it if it raised enough money to replace it with a Colchester Student or some such machine. PM me for more details.

Thanks Steve-what you have is the Cromwell-Smallpeice! I have a Cromwell-Smallpeice already, albeit a series 1 ,with 3step cone pulling. This was made in the original Coventry works before it was completely destroyed. The thing I’m after is a simple production lathe.
