Default GDSF Diary 2012 - Monday

Rather than spoiling everyone else's Dorset threads I thought I'd start a new one showing our week.

All the photos are here on facebook too https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...3&l=7ba6e165d3 but we start on Monday at a very wet Honiton Hill!

But miraculously, by the time we arrived at Dorset the rain had cleared at the site was dry (until just after we finished unloading!)

Default Tuesday

Tuesday dawned to bright sunshine and some West Country arrivals:

But the ground was saturated...

That didn't stop the new arrivals!

Including the Sedon and Black products by steam!

Everything was looking good for the show to start

Default Wednesday

Then the rains came!

So it was a morning spent in the tents...

And generally sheltering!

We tried to do some sawing

But there was mud everywhere!

At least we still had the evening entertainment

Default Thursday

Thursday was a far brighter day

And saw some new arrivals taking to the play pen by the afternoon

And even some haulage by the evening!

Default Friday

There was still a fair bit of mud around on the Friday

But the show had it's buzz back!

But by this time the camera had succombed to the elements and I had to make a wedding on the weekend....

Thanks Steve for sharing your photos with us. Sunny South Devon did not live up to its name over the weekend and I am sure North Devon was the same.

Looking on the bright side, roll on the 2013 Rally Season, it can't be any worse than 2012 !!!

I don't know about that Tom, we couldn't have asked for a better day in Kingsbridge on Saturday for the wedding but it has been a terrible summer... as you say, bring on 2013!

Good set of photos, nice to see a perspective on a show rather than just a set of photos.
You should have stopped by Chuchstow and said hello, I was chuffing around the site late afternoon Saturday and all afternoon Sunday.

Tom that will teach you to live up by the moors.
