Good day out at Flookburgh , one or two missing engines but and a damp arena but events continued no the less
The Merlin and Griffin aero engines looked and sounded great too. Dave |

We were camped very close to the Aero engines, and when they were demonstating, you could feel the caravan floor vibrating.
Awesome engines. I am sure Hercules on here will be posting some pics of the road run. They should all be dried out by now. Regards John

Hi all, I can echo Johns comments, good rally with plenty to see and do, very good value for the public. When I left last night at five o clock the classic cars were still in the ring with plenty of the public still watching, there seemed to be constant entertainment throughout the day including lawn mower racing! Nice road run into the village on the Saturday night for a pint was the highlight for me, and I'm still not dry! A few pics of the engines. Lee

Oh just wonderful. Those pictures bring it all back - roast hog, scrumpy, steel band, helicopter flights, stalls selling everything, steam fairground, Gipsy Rose Lee, craft, model and Lakeland produce tents, steam organs, threshing and sawing, innovative contraptions attached to stationary engines, tractions engines of every description, road vehicles of every type. Wasn't it nice to go back to your caravan have a cup of tea and chew the fat with the neighbours. Then - off again.

It was indeed , an R15 convertable , tho' in a sorry state , and possibly with a broken front end . It looks kosher until you get up closeer , and see the bits that aren't there , and start to work out which piece was copied from which make .
