Default Flat Balata type Belting

Am currently restoring a 4" scale miniature Threshing Drum and need to replace a few belts on it.
Would anyone know where I can purchase flat belting 30mm & 40mm wide but only about 3mm thick. It's easy to find balata belting 5mm thick but I have a few pulleys that are only about 2" diameter so need thinner belting as per original belts.
Also, would leather belting be an option?
Any help/advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Simon

I use this on my three inch showman's engine. It is excellent quality.

Hello Simon, I once needed a thinner belt for a job and found that the multilayer type belting can be de-laminated to the required thickness. Not easy to get started but once that the required layers are separated it peels off quite readily .I have also done this to splice belting to obtain a "continuous" belt for threshing etc.
Happy new year to all,
Mike
