Default Victorian shropshire town to welcome 16 steam engines

VICTORIAN SHROPSHIRE TOWN TO WELCOME 16 STEAM ENGINES FOR POPULAR
EVENT

The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust says that the streets of Blists Hill
Victorian Town will be filled with steam engines as part of a popular
Steam in Miniature event this April.

On the 26th and 27th of April 2025, Blists Hill will see 16 miniature
traction engines roam the streets to demonstrate how they would have
been used in Victorian Britain.

Highlights for visitors include Billy the Steam Roller, which will be
in action mending roads, as well as Merryweather the steam fire pump.

The event coincides with Trevithick Day, with other engines also
carrying out stone crushing and road haulage demonstrations.

> “This is a brilliant event for steam enthusiasts as well as those
> new to the world of steam. It’s exciting for us to get this many
> steam engines together in one place in an authentic historic
> setting, and for the public to be able to get up close and see how
> they work and the things they did.”
