'Corse it'll be respectful. I for one would love to see a running WW1 tank. They did it perfectly in 1993 from Bovingdon , & also from Swanage I think the next year. The engines were Len Cranes Fowler , Paul Scholeys Fowler, 'Boadicea' 'Clinker' & with Jim Sarneys Burrell from Swanage. But those Gents are all a bit older now, but i'm sure there's some younger ones to fill the gap!?

We were talking about this last night. Certainly the owners of those engines are a lot older; some no longer active with their engines or no longer associated with them.
But the engines are all still with us with enthusiastic crews. I know that Martin Oliver will never miss an opportunity to promote the Show, and maybe the road train suggested by Jim could also be used to raise funds for the Royal British Legion or other Armed Forces charities. Stef. |
