A second mystery is the "Swiss Roll"



Program lists it as Works No 5995, but it carries this plate



Now Works No 4932 Is listed in the TER as 1901 with an FX registration number. What is going on here?

The number you have taken is the boiler number the other is the Swiss boiler registration number, the royalty number 5995 is on the cylinder block on the other side of the engine.

does anyone have any pictures of the 4 tiger tractors pulling the stone load on friday, a friend was on the first tiger and then fell off and is now lying in salisbury hospital. jus would like to see that as it sounds impressive

Not a great picture, but was difficult to get a decent shot (for me, anyway) but this gives a flavour.
The Saunders tractor on the front (The Tiger) was uncoupled shortly after this shot was taken. I hope your friend is ok.

It was I who 'fell off', currently lying in Salisbury hospital awaiting surgery. Just to prevent any rumours or confusion, we had stopped by the commentary box and I simply slipped off the bottom step whilst dis-mounting. My advise is to take extra care when wearing muddy boots on metal steps!
