wanted spare glass sight glass for a hydrostatic cylinder lubricator, just as a spare
2" long 1"1/8 diameter 1/8" thick glass tube
I have looked online but no one seems to deal in small lengths and minimum orders
has anyone got a piece on a shelf or back of a cupboard ? I can cut to length if required
many thanks Chris

Chris, try Industrial Boiler House Supplies. They will make up a 'special' if you ask them, and if they have the correct sized glass tube. They made one for my Manzel.

mmm just rang them and after going through the technical dept and then customer services, they came up with a price of £500 for a 5ft length !
and then said I couldn't order it because I was not a trade customer !

Just tell them that you run a nuclear power station during the week , and they can stuff their tube .

Try Dixon Glass http://www.dixonglass.co.uk/ Their website is not working properly but it gives you contact details. I had some small lengths of odd size glass tube from them a few years ago and they were not very expensive.

Chris,

I am 99% sure I have some actual lubricator tubes the size you require.

Drop me an email with your address and if I have the correct size I will put one in the post.
