Nice little Aveling & Porter 8 tonner. These always look 'right' to me. ![]() Q class Marshall 73040. I wanted to take this one home ![]() ![]() ![]() Steve Paxton's 3 speed compound, 55676? Again, very nice engine. ![]() ![]() After growing up near to Lillywhite's and hearing the legend of these engines it was a real pleasure to see them up close and especially see the 'Q' in steam. ![]() I went down mainly to see the Lillywhite engines and it was well worth it.
Lovely setting for a rally, great for pictures, shame the sun went in as soon as I arrived. Not sure I have ever seen one engine lift another, see attached picture! Lots more pictures on SS soon, hopefully before GDSF.
