No problems at all. Security was the best yet. Show went off very well. Only one problem; it clashes with an event in Gloucestershire.

Fowler 7871
Re the queries regarding the history of Fowler 7871
Built by Fowler to order K8854, 12 January 1897, for the Antrim Iron Ore Company Ltd.; the specification called for haulage of two 25-ton loads daily from Clontrace Mine to Ballymena Station, five days per week. By April 1913 with John Ogden, Haulage Contractor, Caernarfon To Simons & Teago (showmen), Caernarfon, April 1920; it was registered CC2753 by them. Last licensed to them in 1922, it was presumably sold due to the arrival of new Fowler 15658. Subsequently returned to Ireland, where it saw further fairground use before having show fittings removed and being used in a quarry– see “Steaming” Vol.51 No.3, p 159/60. |

Owned by the same gents that now own the Gyrotillers from Ripon.
Its a lovely engine and a lot of hard work has gone into it over the last couple of years. |
