At the end of the day if you decide not to go, it is your loss, it is a very good weekend, and I am sure alot of people are thankful to those who organise it. Long may it continue!

Managed to feature on one or two photo's hehe

Perhaps a email to the organisers would sort out the mystery, to save speculation?

We used to go with the portable and racksaw (on the feild ) but when I bought the Clayton Roller Len Rickets told me NO as they would not have steel wheels in the town !
On the very year he turned me away Allan Eaton was it the town with Kingfisher on stakes ! I thought it was a case as if your face fits so I have never been back

There is no snobbery involved at all and the organisers have to deal with the whims etc of the Mostyn's who own a lot of Llandudno and the local council who have some strange ideas at times that the organisers have to abide by or the show will not happen. The engine choice is based on a selection of different types rather than too many of the same.
Some engine owners will never get an invite no matter what they own, as they or their crew/family will have done something at llandudno to piss the organisers off at some time in the past, it could be as simple as not turning up and not bothering to call and say that they cant be there(that was found out by a phone call from me on the Saturday morning to ask what time they were arriving as time was getting close to the start time), or they could have been abusive to the organisers or officials.
