I managed to sneak a visit into Beamish today....weather was kind, which was nice.
A lot to see, so a most interesting time wandering around, even if one or four of the palnned exhibits hadn't arrived, never mind, there'll be another chance (I'm sure!) During the afternoon, I counted up - there were at least eight items there that I had had something to do with.....some bigger than others! Well worth going!

By the way, who was driving the Green sentinel on Saturday? I was hoping to take pictures, but my little camera was not playing at all!
And, yes, the Lid did arrive safely, care of Dave Antell.... ...Out of the rail exhibits, I did like "Jack" and Baxter and Coffee Pot made a good pair... I'm already looking forward to the next events (and Power from the Past in September!)

Leaving at 6am my boyfriend and I were at Beamish yesterday - and what a day! The sun was out and nice blue skies, lots of public and steamers to boot
