It was implied that it was so in the programme notes which I read much later.
It was not a 'lucky engine' on a day when the sun came and mainly went. The pictures I took of "Tilly" (WS 7835) and that of "Nipper" (WS 7840) couldn't be more different but were taken in exactly the same place as they left the parade but just 3 minutes apart. I am not an expert in these things but it seemed to me that it had a non-standard worksplate, is this so?
