It's one of those awkward things to quantify, I can't say that I don't attend charity events, because I do, but I have to, if you like., sort of square it with myself, do it to often and it becomes 'expected' and then you've made a rod for your own back. The comitment involved in getting ANY engine to an event is considerable, and no matter how you look at it, particularly if you need a crew you have to be able to justify it, even the most outrageous of classic car does not even come close. If it's an event that you will enjoy getting to, attending, packing up and getting home frm then fair do's, if not then don't. the most cost effective way for a charity to benefit from your engine is to leave the engine at home and give the charity the monetary equivalent to the comitment that attending would come to.
