I guess it may have been designed that low for when it was converted, perhaps for the storage reason you mentioned. Some insight would be useful as looking back it is quite noticeable!

Charlie won't thank you for referring to his engine as Headland Beauty. It's the Fowler.

Having checked the Fowler works list I stand corrected in regards to the name. Any info on as to where Headland Beauty comes from as there are quite a few references to it.

It was a name given to it as a bit of a joke by Michael Oliver in one of the GDSF programs and much to Charlie's consternation has stuck.

In neither the 2012 nor the 2016 Traction Engine Registers is the engine referred to as "Headland Beauty"
