Old mill steam event

We went to this In October 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There was an amazing turnout
of engines, including some very notable showmans. On the Saturday, after breakfast at the Old Mill, several engines
were hooked up to trailers and a day-long road run took place.

I don't know if the route is the same every time (this is a bi-annual event) but we went right through
the heart of the New Forest, with a lunch stop at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and a
couple of other stops for liquid refreshment.

Ian Pooley and his team lay on a really good day, and raise lots of money for good causes.

This is an event which I would recommend without hesitation, and I look forward to doing it again.
