if not theres lots of older deeres in france id bet theres a breakers over there

There is indeed, the one I used when there for bits for my JD 2040 was TMC Bejenne near Chatellerault, loads of stuff for JD; another thought Craig is Agriaffaires as there is a parts section and you may find what you're after.
