Default Craftmaster Traditional Lining Course

Friday 6th April - Good Friday at Hilperton Marina, Hammond Way, Trowbridge, BA14 8RS

Over the Easter weekend Craftmaster will be running a few courses in various things at ABC Leisure Groups Hilperton Marina.

The main one of interest for Traction Talk types will be the Lining Course which will be taught by Adam Meredith. Adam will give a brief overview of engine lining, using works photos and the like before demonstrating the various techniques he employs on a daily basis. Following this everyone will be issued with brushes, paint, and a board to have a go themselves.

Its anticipated that this will last for four or five hours, with a large portion being given over the the practical side. It will be a small class size so everyone should get ample one-to-one tuition. This means that places will be very limited.

The cost of the course will be £75 and will include the paint and brushes which will be yours to take away at the end of the day.

The other courses running will be by Phil Speight (formely owner of Craftmaster) and will cover Boat Painting over two days and will be priced at around £100, it will cover coach painting but with a very boaty slant (we hope to offer some bog standard one day engine painting courses at some point). This is not a hands on course.

The final course will be traditional canal decoration and will include a Craftmaster Roses Kit (Value £40) and is priced at £100, you'll be able to get stuck in painting traditional canal roses as taught by one of the leading painters of his generation

If anyones interested please PM me or ring Craftmaster.

These look like a great idea and reasonably priced. Will definitely be up for the engine painting course as and when...shame I'm on holiday over the bank holiday weekend so will miss out this time! Paul

I did the 2 day course a couple of years ago in Stourbridge, great time watching paint dry.
