As far as I can tell both engines have been totally rebuilt, one boiler is complete the other requires tubes, the chassis are both pretty far advanced but the speed 12 is I think still short of the internals for the diffs. I was informed that they had diffs off of a diesel wagon BUT the engines turn different directions which would be a bit of a problem. There appear to be quite a lot of overhauled parts on the shelves ready to fit. In his defence Mike and his small team of helpers do have a lot to look after. At the event I was informed that mid week Goliaths crankshaft was out to look at a problem!
