Default 1000 Engine Rally

Very good rally, some terrible weather on the Saturday but Sunday made up for it and the big steamers got in the ring which was nice as only the miniatures made it on Saturday. Fantastic to see the Dibnah lads there with the roller and the Landrover too, best not mention the 'mud' before Saturday nights pub run....... eh Jack??!! Much drier sunday when I managed not to run over Roger with the 4in Burrell..........just!

Lee, where were you, James was hoping you'd make it. Did you do Kelsall instead?

Regards,
Mark, Handforth MES

It was a great day Sunday Mark and good to see you and James again... The 4" Burrell looks good too. It was so hot my arms and neck are almost cooked.

I remember Lee telling me he was working over the weekend... hence him not being there.

Best wishes

Tez

Yes mate, the bright lights of Kelsall tempted me away from my local rally. Not a drop of rain both days so the weather was better, even if I did do a ninety mile round trip instead of thirty, I'm losing it

Cheshire Steam Fair next for me mate, may see you there? Lee

Default Foreigners eh??

Hiya Lee, This is what happens when you will go to these 'Foreign Rallies' in exotic places like Kelsall. Hmm saying that though it seems you got the better weather deal, saturday at Astle was garbage! Sun must shine on the righteous!

Yep self and James will be up with the Burrell at Cheshire Steam Fair and Astle Park, If we can camp close enough James can delight you with his culinary skills............ahem! Failing that, beer tent it is, Theakstons was on at Astle.........very nice!

See you in a fortnight.

Terry, did you find your lubricator cover?

Mark.

Hi Mark

Yes I found that lube cover today while cleaning the engine... I think the pressure of the safety valve must have blown it down the side between the boiler and hornplate...and I cut a piece of brass yesterday to make a new one with the intention of putting a chain on it.

Cheers

Tez
