It was a good event, however It has to be said that organisation (for the steamers at least) is the worst I've experienced in a number of years, and that is saying something. No defined engine line, not enough coal, difficult to come by water at times and the stewards had very little contact with most of the engine owners; we did get paid though. I thought the whole event had a very rough and untidy feel to it too.
Shame the road run has drawn co much police attention too.

I noticed that the Fowler K5 was getting through some big logs while parading the arena .
I enjoyed the day on the whole , plenty to see and not enough time to see it all .
For me the lack of a showman's line up was not an issue , photography I found to be easier .
