I must confess it was very useful not having far to get home !!!

Myself and wife are going tomorrow with the caravan for the weekend, really looking forward to it. It'll be a pleasant change to spend a weekend at a rally and not have to look after an engine! Also looking forward to seeing the miniature railway again as I was an occasional driver on it over 40 years ago!

No, that isn't me, I think it is Jim Pickaver, who worked for Lord Gretton at that time. It is, however, the loco that I used to drive, it has since been sold. I don't know where it is now.
