A few more photos, not just of engines as there were more than 1000 vintage exhibits entered. The Methven Vintage Club organised the vintage rally that was held in conjunction with the 57th World Ploughing Contest. As part of the display they asked for as many NZ ploughs as possible to be entered.
The largest plough entered was homemade by a Western Southland contractor, Graham Paterson in the 1960's. It was built to plough under flax, manuka and swampland. It weighs 6.3t.

There was a good display of vintage ploughs, the most common were made by Reid & Gray. Its thought the first traction engine to come to NZ was a Gray and it was imported with a Gray plough. (for those who get Old Glory see page 26 of issue 241)

The "Mowat" Fowler was put to good use on the Friday belt driving the spit roast.

The Case engine put on a good display on the Hawkins Family sawbench.
