It was very reassuring that after 2 difficult years, Haddenham proved as good as ever this year. Photo 22 sums up my son William's weekend. The engine gleamed. However, after putting him & clothes through the washing machine at least twice, he's still a little grubby...

I never caught the name of the owner of this engine, but leaving William to polish it for the morning really made his day.
