Andy,
You could make a D bit taper "reamer" from silver steel, harden and temper. I did this for the taper plug cock on my water pump and it worked fine. Turned the plug and the reamer at the same machine setting and lapped in with eucryl toothpaste. Cheaper than buying a reamer for a couple of holes especially if gunmetal. Paul.
