Leigh Arms Steam Party
The 40th Hollybush Steam Party was held at the Leigh Arms this weekend. (dont ask!)
Superb do, good company and good fun. 16 full size engines, several miniatures and a load of steam boats plus other assorted tackle. No doubt some photos will appear in due course. From memory: Basil's Aveling 6 Tonner Sams Boys Burrell Roller Ray Pearsons F Type Rusty Nuts Fowler Roller Navigator Wallis Advance Chipchase Bostocks Fowler TE The Shiny Burrell Metcalfes Clayton TE George Coles' Clayton TE Alan Thwaites Ruston Tractor (thanks for the drive!) Foster TE Julian Staffords Aveling Rosetta Platemakers Sentinel S6 Tipper The Bridson Burrell Road Loco Max Cowap's unique John Collings Barber's Burrell SCC Stanley Monarch (stranded on the low loader !) The steam tug Kerne was moored on the River Weaver also, along with all sorts of working boats too! A good time was had by all! Thanks to all organisers.
