Default Land Rover Series front Leaf springs

Guys

I'm after some second hand pair of front leaf springs for a Series Landrover. The original multileaf type not parabolics.

I have fitted some 9 leaf ones of unknown origin (other than they were off a 109) to the rear of my living van but and with tools etc its now a bit saggy.

Plan is to make a custom set up out of two pairs, adding say 3 or 4 leaves to the existing ones I have. I feel by making a set up this way I can add another leaf if the result is still too soft, or remove a leaf if it is too hard. I left my spring bolts long on purpose as a number of you have noticed on facebook!.

I've looked at heavy duty (11 leaf) ones off the shelf and given the loadings I've been quoted I'm not certain they are up to it either, and I dont really want to chop up some new springs given the outlay.

I also have a tame spring man who will make me whatever I want, but I do not know loads (or have a way of measuring them in anycase).

I've no issues with splitting springs to clean up scale etc.

I'm on the Shropshire/Staffs Border, happy to travel, but have family/contacts and travel regularly to North Wales/Warwickshire/Durham so economic collection is a wider area.

I'm currently looking hard at the bay of E, location will be the key.

Basically does anyone have anything usable?. There are pleanty of you LandRover blokes out there with steamers, is there anyone who has just gone parabolic willing to sell some that they were going to scrap??

PM me, hedd_jones@yahoo.co.uk or 07871 577 132 anytime.
