We had a great day steaming @ Chatham but boy was it cold with the wind blowing straight off the estuary.

About 11am I popped out to the car in the car park (wasn't allowed to leave car on site) and couldn't believe the queue of people waiting to get in.
Chatham isn't just a steam event, it's about all forms of transport, motorbikes both Brit and Jap in attendance and a nice selection of cars as well.
I have to agree with Robin that the entrance fee is a bit steep but there is SO much to see especially for the kids and remember this place runs all year, it's not put away until the next event. The biggest trouble at Chatham is finding all the stuff that's being shown, such as the models displays, working blacksmith, rope-making, horse and carriage display, loco shed etc

Can't wait for next year and I will defiently be taking the grandkids with me.
