Audley End Steam Gala
The Audley End Steam Gala will take place on May 12th & 13th at the Audley End Miniature Railway near Saffron Walden in Essex.
The Railway is a delightful steam-hauled 1.5 mile ride on Lord Braybrooke’s private 10 ¼” gauge railway through Estate woodland. Added to this, is the smaller track operated by the local Model Engineering Society.
The event is a joint venture between the Railway, and the East Anglian Traction Engine Society. There will be a selection of full size traction engines of varying types, complemented by miniature engines, and musical accompaniment will be provided by a fairground organ. This Gala has something for everyone, fair rides, vintage vehicles, tractors and craft stalls. Refreshments will be available including a bar.
Whether you are a steam enthusiast, vintage vehicle fan, collector or you just enjoy relaxing in the glorious countryside this is a day everybody can enjoy.
Admission is £2 for Adults and £1 for children, and free car parking is available. Enquiries may be directed to John Hunt on 07882 175438.
