Aveling & Porter F type Number 10025 roller Project

For Sale due to change of circumstances for the owner (moving to another country) is Aveling & Porter 10 Ton F Type roller "Gem"
An engine that came to us for restoration after the original repairers didn't complete the work.

Currently in dismantled and partly restored condition work to date includes:
Fully rebuilt tender
New welded firebox
New riveted boiler barrell fitted
New outer wrapper repairs including crown, horn plates, throat plate and back head. (New sections set in)
Comes with all the rivets and side stays for fitting the firebox.
All paper work for materials and welding including NDT are present.

Unfortuantly the engine requires a new foundation ring as cracking was found aswell as poor fitment to the new firebox when we removed it for thorough inspection by the boiler man.
Also requires a new front tube plate as the current one fitted has been drilled wrong on the tube holes by the previous party.
I have quotes for replacements from Mendip steam.

We haven't done a great deal of work to this one at our workshop, mainly investigative work before we proceeded with anything further on the boiler.
