I would not lose too much sleep over a sprung front , you could find that the front end danced about , especially with a single . I reckon that it was for this reason that front springs tended to be very stiff , so as only to move under a shock load . If you look at the paint on front leaf springson a line of engines , many of them appear not to have deflected in years .
