autopositive injector

We are nearing the end of the restoration of Burrell 2409 a Kiwi 6hp SCC TE and it was fitted with a 3/4" autopositive injector from new. We have the body and most of the innards, the output cone is missing however. There are no drawings available for the autopositives and all the usual injector gurus can't help. Does anyone have a complete or part complete 3/4" to sell or borrow to copy?
I have a complete 1/2" autopositive to swap or sell. We want to keep to auto type and not change to a standard. Thanks.

If anyone has one of the missing cones that they would loan, I could measure it and make you one. I did that recently on one of my 1/2" Penberthys. You just need some kind soul that has one!

I have found the best practice with an Autopositive, is to hit is severely with a sledge hammer to ensure no one else suffers the misfortune of trying to use it, turf it into the scrap and fit a standard Penberthy in its place. Having the correct cones fitted, or indeed any cones, will not improve its performance !

The one on my BB1 almost explodes as it picks up and then sings like a bird, whacking the water in like hell. Bloody marvellous thing. Unfortunately for you Simon it's 1 inch so probably no help as a pattern.

Interesting, In their defence- I have found the complete opposite, and have never had a problem with one that was in very regular use 5 days per week over many years. I am aware of quite a few industrial locos that had the original injectors replaced with a Autopositive type that one would think must have worked to have been perservered with.

If you have a half inch auto positive injector with cones, and access to a 1 inch injector with cones could the cone size be worked out?

If a clever chap could measure up the half inch one and extrapolate to the 3/4 that would be helpful! Any contenders?
I have used auto's in NZ on various engines and they seem to work fine, not sure why Burrell specced so many of their kiwi engines with autopositives though, I wonder why that was.
