![]() Is yours a Station Wagon Stuart? do you have traces of this pattern left in it. It seems this green check vinyl leather cloth was often fitted in vehicles that went to the Ministry, this one of mine is ex Ministry of Supply, there is also a blue check vinyl with the same pattern of check.
I was talking to a person on Thursday, he reckoned that the local Country Rangers used to have a series 3 with identical green check vinyl in it so perhaps Rover fitted it in later models as well as in the series one vehicles. Regarding finding new, this is a very slim chance unless some firm such as Exmoor trim decide to have some made, there was a roll found in the Norwegian collection last November that a friend brought back, it was a block of ice when he found it over there, unfortunately when it had thawed out here it was just scrap. |

![]() No, it's ex-Ministry, AFS - Reg SXF 124. The front seats are in reasonable order, although split in a couple of places and certainly I would not replace the green check as in your picture above, but would only do so if some of the material came up. I will most probably make a cover for the seats to help perserve the material for as long as possible.

![]() Thanks for your kind offer Matt, I have tried the LR series 1 forum.
I wish Exmoor trim would consider having a batch of this green check made as there seems to be a number of vehicles that had it originally. They are now making the grey Elephant hide but from what I am told it is a poor reproduction compared to the original. |

![]() Hi D-Valve
I saw the material out in Norway, it's a shame it couldn't be salvaged. I assume the previous owner had collected it up for his own station wagons. I put a set of new elephant hides in the old 2a I had. They looked good and were very comfortable, but noticeably different from the odd original seat I'd managed to find. It could be worth trying Sam's Trim in Birmingham, they seem pretty keen to please. 14 Deykin Park Witton Birmingham B6 7HN 0121 328 3322 |

![]() Thanks Kev, I will have a word with Sams Trim, I think I may have seen him selling new seats on ebay.
This green check seems pretty scarce stuff, we could do with someone having a batch produced. |
