Default Somerset Railway Association (WSRA)

THERE was an impressive turnout as the West Somerset Railway Association (WSRA) held its annual steam and vintage rally in Norton
Fitzwarren.

Punters admired retro cars and fire engines and saw demonstrations of classic traction engines, tractors and agricultural vehicles
last weekend (August 3 and 4).

They also enjoyed live music from the ‘Piano Bike Girl’, Chloe Marie Aston, and tasted a range of artisan food and drinks.

The event raises money for the WSRA, which supports the West Somerset Railway, a heritage line that runs between Bishops Lydeard
and .

A WSRA spokesperson said: “A big thank you to all our exhibitors and traders for making it another successful rally and, of
course, the general public for making it another busy year.

“The WSRA Steam and Vintage Rally is run by a team of dedicated volunteers.

“The primary aim of the rally is to raise funds for the owning charity the West Somerset Railway Association (WSRA), which in turn
supports the West Somerset Railway.

“The rally also aims to promote and cultivate interest in steam and vintage transport and of course to ensure a thoroughly
enjoyable day out for the community and all supporters of the West Somerset Railway.”
