4" Traction engine wanted

Hi,

I'm in the market for a 4" Traction engine, i've seen a few fosters/ Burrells for sale on suppliers sites but i'm not sure if they are going for the right price (please let me know if any on Station road steam or berrybrook steam are worth the money) i'm certainly considering the station road steam 4" Foster but wanted to see whats out there on the private sale market.

I'm looking for either a Foster or a Burrell. I dont really want a Kit built engine as i like knowing it has been hand crafted from scratch.

if your selling your Burrell or Foster for arund 12.000 - 13.000 then pleae get in touch. I will consider more exspensive models but you'll just have to tempt me with what you have

There is a foster in the old glory worth looking at. Once own by my Dad was built by a very good craft master the man who it was built by also built a lot off model engine and boats (full size). Aslo was the first LSM engine built!!! My dad sold this engine only to have room for a half size engine we both said if we had the room we would buy it back well worth a look.

Thanks for the info I'll check this out and see if it's still for sale, what's the age of the engine if you know? The foster on station road steam is very tempting too a little over budget but I guess it's brand new.

Will let you know what i find. Any more info on engines for sale very welcome.

thanks to those that have contacted me I now have a 4" Foster on the way up to sunny Scotland...I cant wait to tell you the truth... wooo hooo...
