Ruston and Hornsby "OLIVER"

Aveling F Type cutaway.

Cutaway of a set of Savage Gallopers.
These are just tiny samples of the couloured and black and white drawings of traction engines and railway locomotives drawn by Geofrey Wheeler in the 1970's and 1980's. Their quality and detail still ranks as some of the most aunthentic prints ever produced. Traction engine prints are approximately 17" (43cm) x 24" (61 cm) and the railway loco prints are 12" (30cm) x 25" (62cm).
Unfortunaely his most popular print of the coloured BB1 ploughing engine is now out of print and has sold out.
The cutaway drawings show the internal workings of traction engines and the cutaway of the gallopers is particularly fascinating. This range is ideal for Steam Apprentices and newcomers to road steam, model makers, and are even worthy of scrutiny by the most expert of road steam enthusiasts.
Although some of the prints are a little yellow on the edges (they were printed by Geoff in the 1980's! they are still available, and currently once stocks expire wont be re printed.
The are available for sale by post on line at

Christmas is coming! Still time to get a print or two framed for presents!
