Me and dad argued for a good while about removing the old tyers and eventually came to a compromise, dad said we could have it on steels for one year providing I do all the donkey work removing the old tyers and sourcing and replacing a replacement set.

Since that deal was struck dad has got all sentimental about the old girl, touched up and varnished the paint work and decided it can stay a little longer the way god intended it to be.

Although regrettably what was a very good engine to drive on the road for good distances is now banished to the confines of Klondyke. It really is shocking the ride quality and is almost impossible to drive slow enough in top gear without the feeling that the world is about to end.
