Default Statfold barn railway open day - 13th september

STATFOLD BARN RAILWAY OPEN DAY THIS COMING SATURDAY (13TH SEPTEMBER)

There will be approximately 17 road steam engines and 17 narrow gauge steam locos in steam, and many more railway locos on display.

The railway will be running throughout the day, the workshops and display areas (excluding boilershop) will be open for viewing .

There will be a mix of classic cars, miniature and large steam engines in the event field.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Admission strictly by ticket only, Tickets are available from Henry Noon at a cost of £10 and due to the open layout of the site children under 14yrs cannot be admitted. Please ring 01827 830871 or 07836 747017 to obtain tickets.

I'll second Matthew's comments. A day out second to non. No officialdom or jobs worthy, wander where you want, engines working hard all around all day, open spaces to sit and picnic, etc., etc. Usually a big Wallis to be seen, it doesn't get much better than that, now does it?
