Sentinel 'man' - ornament not badge - Genuine Ex Works item.

This is an unusual item.

I bought it off a neighbour who is ex 'the Sentinel'.

It is a late type bronze Sentinel man with a soldered on foot to make him stand up.

I'm guessing it is 1950's and according to my neighbour produced at the works. I've heard of one or two similar ornaments with similar origins (I work in Shrewsbury), but never seen another.

Certainly the casting is so sharp that it can only have been cast off the original pattern, not cast off another casting.

Whilst it is a nice piece with a nice story, my house is so full of shite that some stuff needs to go.
