Newark Tractor show

A strange weekend, we were the only steam engine there and due to the dayglows not understanding terms like model, miniature or traction engine we ended up camped as far away as it is possible to get without leaving the show ground among all the low loaders and trailers. This did however mean we had a good run to and from the show on the engine and no one could complain about us moving around cos they put us there! It wasn't until Saturday morning we found the other people with miniature vehicles and found where we should have been.
Being the only steamer on site seemed to gave us a certain celebrity status and we chatted to lot of people and got a number of invites for next year. It was great to meet several other Traction Talk members who made themselves known to us.

As for the show if you like tractors and agricultural machinery it was brilliant, but could do with a few working exhibits. May well go again next year.
