Default Llandudno Victorian festival 2011

Another cracking weekend. Plenty of sunshine and very very busy.
A few photos that I took.

And a few of the miniatures on the end of the pier. But one seemed to be missing LOL

Hope they are of interest. Great weekend.
John

Can anyone enlighten me as to why steam rollers never appear at Llandudno?

I believe a roller cracked a manhole cover one year so they don't allow them. Lee

Its not particularly a roller thing Ant, more that some busybody involved with the council took a dislike to steel wheels and this has perpetuated. I believe that steel wheeled vehicles were allowed on the show field, but not the town centre.

And as for a roller cracking a manhole cover, I wonder how the tarmac either side was placed..........

Hi

I do believe there was an engine on strakes there this last weekend.

I also thought several rollers are now rubbered, so wondered if one would appear before long.

Cheers

Dave

They do not like the steel marking the road so that is why. You have got to wear rubber or they do not want you

Steel shod engines have been there in the past, a few years ago the MANN tractor 1386 Brinkburn Lass was there and on another 2 years Fowler 14888 Kingfisher was there.
