The Long Shop Museum - Garrett's old works in Leiston - had a season opening 'Steam Up' today. Yesterday, in suitably glorious Good Friday weather, Garrett agricultural engine 'Felstead Belle' could be seen making her way across Suffolk as part of a 100 mile road run to celebrate her 100th birthday at the museum.
Passing through Fressingfield in north Suffolk.
Taking a break in Laxfield.
Sorry there's no sound with this. The engine was in great voice as she stormed up this hill near Peasenhall.
Some parts of Suffolk are flat.
Arriving in the works' yard today.
Outside the Long Shop.
The museum's own Garrett roller 'Consuelo Allen' in steam for the first time in many years.
Even a miniature Garrett.
Great days out for all concerned.
Bill.
