![]() Rain made an unfortunate return to Belvoir Castle today after several years of good weather previously. I understand it rained all night and this turned the site into a bit of a mud bath and stopped all engine movements. Never-the-less there was much to look at and several engines were making their debut at the event.
A small selection of photographs that I took. Ruston Hornsby 122282 arrive yesterday after a good journey by road: ![]() Fowler 19356, which has undergone recent restoration and one I have not seen before: ![]() Ransomes Sims & Jefferies 20760 which was recently sold and moved to Leicestershire: ![]() Sentinel 9084 which I have not seen at a rally since Belvoir Castle in 2004: ![]() Aveling & Porter 5163, a first time appearance at the rally: ![]() And a few more: Burrell 3926: ![]() Fowler 9271 ![]() Fowler 15441 ![]() Fowler 16433 ![]() Garrett 33566 getting a tow: ![]() Foden 13138 ![]() Foster 14589 ![]() The view as a left the site this afternoon: ![]()

![]() I would think it is just where the ground hasn't been trampled on, or poached I think the term is.

![]() Well we had fun getting out. Got off the feild ok but there was loads of mud on the road going up the hill we were sideways a lot of the time but kept it going. Then out on the road there is a steep hill to negotiate. We'd cleaned the wheels as best as we could, but there was mud on the road and starting to go down it was slipping so chocked up and waited for a tractor to come from the site to act as an anchor. Just wasnt worth the risk as its a long old hill! makes you see the advantages of rubber tyres!
